Wristbands have had quite the popularity for some time now. They come in all sizes ranging from baby size to XX-Large. They have multiple colors for each and every disease or organization that the bracelet stands for. They now even have bracelets that have quotes on them like “Princess” or “I love carbs”. They also have come out with ones for sports teams for both famous teams and schools depending on what you would like to have. You also can get them specially made with your name on it or whatever you desire to have put on the bracelet.
The ones for AIDS, Cancer, and Diabetes have become the most popular among people. They all started out with the yellow LIVESTRONG bracelet that you will see many wearing on their wrist everyday in support of the cancer foundation. They then advanced into all the different color bracelets for each cancer just like the colored ribbons.
They then came out with the one for AIDS which is a white bracelet with ONE written on it for the AIDS/HIV organization.
Then they came out with the diabetes bracelets which are red and have the American Diabetes Foundation written on it.
With those bracelets a portion of the proceeds goes towards each foundation that is selling the bracelets. Which is a good cause and you get a sweet bracelet to show for it!
If you see someone walking around with a million colored things dangled up their arms you now know what they represent. They either love sports, helping out the world or just like the color and quotes on them. Either way they have become quite the fashion trend among both children and adults.
