It was cute when you were a kid to do pig-tails, right? They looked precious when you were... say 4 to 8 years old.
Now that you're older you should probably move forward from that look to something more sleek, sophisticated, and spunky. A pony tail as an adult is actually an accepted hair styling practice and one that I (since I have long hair) do quite often.
It just goes to show- some hairstyles (Aside from 80s high hair-sprayed bangs) are still fashionable and handy to do today!
